Next Steps Must Move the Buyer Forward

A Next Step is not a placeholder to keep an opportunity open. It must represent a future action that moves the buyer forward in their decision - not a holding pattern created to avoid closing the opportunity. A Next Step that exists only to prevent closure is a symptom of a Zombie Opportunity and must be treated as one.
